Our tomahawk was drawn by our son Michael and is full of symbolism:
This tomahawk is a pipe tomahawk. The traditional tomahawk often was used as a throwing ax and therefore frequently associated with violence. Peace pipes are intended to be smoked during rituals and ceremonies. Because pipe tomahawks were presented to Native Americans during ceremonies, they took on some of the pacifistic symbolism of the latter. We, at Tomahawk Drywall, are not afraid to wage war on bad prices, shady competitors, or poor quality but at the same time we want to conduct ourselves peacefully and with honor in all of our interactions business or otherwise.
The Cherokee symbolism of the colors are as follows: white represents warmth, peace and happiness and red represents success. These are all qualities we hope exude from our company.
The feathers are eagle feathers. As they roam the sky, Eagles are believed to have a special connection to God. With the Eagle feather, the Creator is honored in the highest way.God is the foundation of our lives and our business and we wanted to pay reverence to Him.
In Native American culture, being given an Eagle feather is the highest honor that can be awarded. At Tomahawk Drywall, we wish to honor you with our exceptional service.
Eagles also represent honesty, truth, strength, courage, and wisdom and these are also qualities we strive to exude at Tomahawk Drywall.
